Queen of Domination: My Secret Life is a rare book. It is rare because an American woman wrote about her personal sex life in explicit detail. Rarely in history, has an American woman written about her sex life and published a book about it for the world to read. Another dynamic that makes this book rare is because it exposes the depth, intensity, diversity and versatility of female sexual behavior.
I, Dr. Charlayne Grenci reveal the extent of my sexual experiences from curiosity, passion and desire through exploration and experimentation which are either shocking, entertaining, educational or erotic. I also divulged my innermost feelings, some of which I had never uttered to a confidant. I believe the seriousness of my confessions in this book are so powerful and compelling that they bring a variety of messages and lessons to the reader. Most definitely theoretically non-conventional.
Queen of Domination: My Secret Life is a good read for many reasons. This book embraces a philosophy of the human condition that exists on the surface of our psyche and that which has deeply penetrated below. This book is laced with the common bond we all share. Yes, we all have a common bond, because we all share the same powerful and influential human condition which is called “suffering”.Suffering is universal and one of the most potent human conditions. Suffering can be used as the umbrella term for the many forms of suffering. The forms of suffering which are embroiled in my book include rejection, humiliation, loneliness, anguish, abuse, grief, physical pain and hitting rock bottom, all of which have their own degrees of severity and dynamics.
All human beings can relate to one or more forms of suffering, yet the result of the suffering can be displayed in a variety of ways. I’m not referring to the small percentage of society that has no empathy. I’m concerned with individuals who suffer in silence, while others demonstrate suffering in their attitude or by showing sadness or arrogance, violence, sometimes insanity or suicide. Other individuals express their suffering through sexual promiscuity or artistic expression which includes but is not limited to creating art, music or literature from the sublime to the bizarre. But nevertheless, all human beings share the common bond of suffering which in reality makes us more alike than different from each other.
Suffering in many forms, especially from rejection and being ostracized predisposed me to be strong and more daring, to be a risk taker, and live on the edge… the edge of society and sanity. My armor thickened as I recovered from surviving mental and emotional abuse. My controlled suffering was kept hidden in the vault of my subconscious, but it had a depth of sensitivity and vulnerability which most people did not recognize. Under my mask of deception was the fear of failure and isolation, and behind my tears in solitude the heavy pain of suffering manifested. But my will for success, dominance and independence gave me the sense of perseverance and confidence to be true to my convictions and never give up. My vision, acute perception and highly creative personality was born from layers of anguish and deep emotional scars. The experience and influence of everything I suffered may have kept me on a bumpy, dangerous course. Suffering has everyone’s number.
Inevitably, Queen of Domination: My Secret Life, will pluck a tight cord of emotion or evoke a huge symphony of emotions in most everyone because my life story expounds upon many forms of suffering…. the kinds of suffering all readers will relate to.
Furthermore, Queen of Domination: My Secret Life shows how I was responsible for bringing out a continuing movement in Florida, which was already in force in other cities around the world. My hunger for research and knowledge of alternatives forced me to examine below the surface of traditionally accepted beliefs, practices and lifestyles. I was driven by an impulse within me, a compulsion, in spite of all the tribulations and sacrifices that were necessary to challenge the system. I was driven to make a difference and to leave my signature on society.
I have been told by several people who have read the book, or started reading it, that they have a hard time putting it down… it is a fast read!
